“Borromeo” chalice in silver (art. st 119)

The “Borromeo” silver chalice is a precious sacred vase in Baroque style made of two-tone silver chiseled by hand and turned.

Chiselling is a process that is generally performed on precious metals. It consists in the cold plastic deformation of the metal performed with the chisel that produces a relief processing, made with incisions and overhangs.

The glass is made in Baroque style and has a cup in gold finish, smooth and shiny, both internally and externally. The undercup, handle and circular base are turned in glossy silver finish and finely chiseled.

The chalice is decorated with a chisel with ogives and floral motifs made by hand that evokes the Baroque language. The handle and base are finely turned with a succession of bulls and throats that create an elegant and refined profile.

The depth of the decorative friezes gives the glass a refined and elegant style that makes it suitable for canteens of any style, whether they are classic or modern.

Due to its finesse and sobriety, the Baroque chalice is particularly suitable for solemn liturgies but also for ordinaryones.
