Plateresque-style chalice (item no. 6155)

The Plateresque-style chalice is a precious chalice made entirely of 925 sterling silver.

Plateresque is an artistic style that flourished in Spain during the 15th and 16th centuries. It is a highly ornate architectural style modeled after silverwork (plata in Spanish), from which the name “Plateresque” derives.

The slender-shaped goblet features a profile rich in moldings and a surface lavishly decorated with fine hand-engraving.

The bowl, the knob, and the base are embellished with blue-enameled cabochons.

The interior of the cup is finished with a 24-karat gold plating.

Thanks to its sumptuousness and elegance, this chalice is well suited for traditional altar settings and solemn liturgical celebrations.

Handcrafted by the skilled master artisans of Molina. The chalice is part of the Artesania Sacra collection, the premier line of artistic production from the Spanish art workshop.

The chalice matches the ciborium, item no. 6155/p
