Baroque silver chalice (art.6119)
The baroque silver chalice is a precious example of the collection Sacred Artesania of Molina.
This is a chalice in which the craftsmanship of the Spanish master goldsmiths of Molina is expressed, being a very careful reproduction of the chalices in Baroque style .
Baroque is the term used by historians to indicate the dominant artistic and architectural style of the seventeenth century that surpassed the linear and perfect classical figures with complex and elaborate shapes, rich in decorations.
This chalice is a liturgical vase of considerable height made entirely of solid 925 silver with a golden finish.
The goblet has a rich profile of turned moldings and hand-chiseled floral decorations on the base, handle and cup.
Due to its complexity and richness, the glass is suitable for more classic canteens but is also well suited to those with a more contemporary style.
The chalice is made by the sacred goldsmith’s company Molina , a Spanish artisan workshop known all over the world for the heritage of craft techniques kept by the master craftsmen who apply them in the construction of their works of art.
