Patena “Timothy” Maranatha Lab (art.2627)
Maranatha Lab’s “Timothy” patena is a liturgical vase made entirely of hand chiseled solid silver.
The offertory plate has a very solemn and elegant line and is made singular by the chiseling performed by hand of friezes and refined angelic heads. The silver finish of the decorations stands out on the golden base of the cup.
Chiseling is a process generally performed on precious metals. It consists in the cold plastic deformation of the metal performed with the chisel. It produces a detecting process, made with engravings and changes.
The plate is entirely finished with a gold bath both externally and internally in the cup; it is embellished with hard stones set amethyst and aquamarine, while the base is glazed.
