The Tassilo chalice and paten is a reproduction of an important and precious one liturgical vase early medieval.

Made in the second half of the 8th century in the Salzburg area, it bears the name of the man who had it built Tassilo III duke of Bavaria famous for having carried out an intense activity in the field ecclesiastical .

The uniqueness of this glass in romantic style it is represented by the typically Romanesque golden engravings. Figurative motifs i on a silver background give materiality to the sacred vase.

The circular base is decorated with a Latin inscription and medallions depicting the four Evangelists. L’ handle globe is richly decorated with ornamental motifs and a necklace of golden beads.

The cup is embellished by the chiselling of the figures of C. risto , the Saints Peter and Paul is Holy Mary .

The refined paten appears golden and smooth on the perimeter while the center is decorated with two-tone star-shaped flower embossing.

The essentiality of the lines and the richness of the engravings make this set a precious object suitable for any type of liturgical celebration.
