Tub “La-Cerva” Maranatha Lab (art. 2321)

Maranatha Lab’sLa-Cerva” tub is a hand-chiseled silver brass liturgical décor.

The bathtub is the main component of the baptismal font, present in baptisters or churches, functional to the celebration of the rite of baptism,which can take place by infusion of water on the head (the most widespread form in Roman ritechurches) or by immersion.

Aimed at the infusion of water, the source normally consists of a tank to which a pedestal supports, on which, by means of a support, it rests. It can be closed by a roof on which decorations and sculptures are often found. The shape is variable, based on Christian symbolic road.

The tub is made of satin silver brass and its peculiarity lies in the effigy of hand chiseled deer on the lid. It is surmounted by a golden cross inscribed in a diamond.
