Maranatha Lab’s “Anamnesi” patena is a precious liturgical vase in
hand chiseled golden brass.
The classic style patena has a gold-finished, smooth and glossy plate, while the perimeter edge is decorated. It has a hammered background work on which stands out a decoration consisting of four medallions in silver finish chiseled by hand with angelic heads.
Chiseling is a processing that is carried out on precious metals and consists of cold plastic deformation of the metal performed with the chisel. It produces a relief workmanship, made with engravings and changes.
Hammering is a workmanship performed on cold metals with the hammer, in order to obtain an effect of pits and reliefs on the surface.
