Romanesque chalice depicting The Last Supper, with relief figures of the Apostles and Jesus, and adorned with a cross set with a ruby

Romanesque Chalice of the Last Supper (Item 134)

The Romanesque “Last Supper” chalice is a handcrafted chalice with simple lines rich in symbolism, just as is characteristic of the Romanesque style.

This chalice features a hammered base embellished with a repoussé Latin cross set with a ruby.

The globe stands out for its clean lines and minimalist design; in fact, it features exclusively a hammered finish.

The handle and the bowl are joined by a very delicate ring of gold beads that stands out elegantly against the silver background.

The centerpiece of the chalice is the bowl, on which the figures of the Twelve Apostles and Jesus gathered for the Last Supper are depicted using the repoussé technique.

The intricate detail of the figures is highlighted by the background—which is, in fact, enameled—and by a series of arches decorated with acanthus motifs. The smooth, gilded rim completes the cup.

This chalice, while simple in design, is rich and elegant thanks to its distinctive decorations; it is therefore suitable for any type of altar, whether classic or modern, as well as for any type of liturgical celebration.

The Romanesque “Last Supper” chalice is part of the Artesania Sacra collection created by the Spanish artisan workshop Molina, one of the most important and refined names in the world of liturgical furnishings made of precious metals.

Molina is proud to have master goldsmiths on its team—experts in both ancient goldsmithing techniques and the latest technologies.

Molina combines tradition and innovation in the field of sacred jewelry.
