The pivial “Benedetto”by Maranatha Lab is a sacred vestment handcrafted in a soft silk mixed damask fabric.
Damask is a fabric made with stylized or floral designs with a glossy-matte effect. The shine of the satin part contrasts with the opacity of the one where the satin is upside down. The damask does not have a straight and a reverse, but it is usually considered straight the side where the design is formed by the texture, so the bottom is shiny.
The Cope is a liturgical vestment from ancient origins which consists of a large cloak with one rear shield, reminiscent of the ancient hood that adorned it; it is almost to the foot long, open at the front and fastened at the chest with a clasp.
