Maranatha Lab’s pisside “Spine” is a precious liturgical vase in chiseled brass.

The a cup has a smooth satin finish in gold bath brass. The peculiarity lies in the lid and the base: in fact the lid is in silver finish and is decorated with a hammered workmanship and a Greek perimeter decoration with the pomo. A shaped symbol in the shape of a fish and cross makes up the pome.

The base, inceve, is chiseled with a decoration that reproduces a crown of thorns.

Chiseling is a processing that is carried out on precious metals and consists of cold plastic deformation of the metal performed with the chisel. It produces a relief workmanship, made with engravings and changes.

While hammering is a processing performed on cold metals with the hammer, in order to obtain on the surface an effect of pits and reliefs.
