Pisside “Ichthys” Maranatha Lab (art.919)
Maranatha Lab’s pisside “Ichthys” is a liturgical vase with stylized and essential lines made of silver-finished brass.
The pisside has a modern style rendered through linear geometries and is made particular and precious by the chiseled engraving processing performed on the cup, handle and lid.
Chiseling is a process generally performed on precious metals. It consists in the cold plastic deformation of the metal performed with the chisel. It produces a detecting process, made with engravings and changes.
A refined chiseling of stylized symbols of loaves, fish and cruciform motifs decorates the cup and lid. The only element with a gold finish is the cross sculpture made on the lid as a prensile knob. The base is turned, with a smooth and glossy finish.
