The Cope is a liturgical vestment from ancient origins which consists of a large cloak with one rear shield, reminiscent of the ancient hood that adorned it; it is almost to the foot long, open at the front and fastened at the chest with a clasp. It is worn by presbyters on solemn occasions, especially during the Eucharistic blessing solemn.
The two edge bands of the cope are decorated with a precious embroidered stole with a motif of stylized crosses with horizontal weave in nuanced shades ranging from red to gold.
