The lurex is a particular type of laminated yarn in polyester fiber characterized by high tenacity. This fiber is metallized thanks to aluminum or silver vapors which thus give it greater brilliance and is then dyed. The term lurex refers to both the thread and the fabric obtained with this thread. It can be knitted together with other natural fibers such as cotton, silk, wool.
The chasuble, with a classic wide and rounded cut, is made unique by the golden streaks of lurex on the coat and on the neck. The Marian monogram in gold and blue surmounted by a crown makes the Marian chasuble precious and solemn.
