“Legge” Chalice by Maranatha Lab (Item No. 237)
The “Legge” chalice by Maranatha Lab is a precious liturgical vessel made of brass two-tone silver.
The glass is in a classic style, richly decorated. The cup has a polished gold finish, both inside and out. The saucer has a silver finish and is finely engraved with classic ornamental motifs, floral symbols, the initials “Pax,” the triangle with the Eye of God, and the monogram “Jhs.”
The sphere that forms the handle is also finely decorated with classic ornamental motifs.
The round pedestal is decorated with floral motifs and various religious symbols, such as the Tablets of the Law, the basket of bread, and the lamb.
Chiseling is a processing generally performed on precious metals that consists in the cold plastic deformation of the metal performed with the chisel. It produces a relief workmanship, made with engravings and changes.
