Plateresque is an artistic style that flourished in Spain in the 15th and 16th centuries. Si tratta di uno stile architettonico molto ornato e composto a imitazione dei lavori di argenteria (in spagnolo plata), da cui proviene il nome di plateresco.
Il calice, dalla linea slanciata, presenta una superficie riccamente decorata con un fine lavoro di incisione a mano. It has a smooth finish cup finished internally with a gold bath. La semicoppa inferiore è riccamente decorata con cesello di fregi floreali.
