Turibolo “Agostino” Maranatha Lab (art.2134)

Maranatha Lab’s Turibolo “Agostino” is an accessory for the liturgy made of silver brass.

The turibolo, also called incense,is the vase, often made of metal, in whichincense is burned in grains or other scented and penetrating essences during a religious function.

The turibolo is accompanied by theship: a small vase in which the supply of incense is stored to be added at the appropriate time in the turibolo. The altar boy in charge of bringing the turibolo is called a turiferary. In procession, the turiferary carries the turibolo with his right hand and the spacecraft with his left.

The “Augustine” turibolo and spacecraft set is entirely hand-chiseled with classic Eucharistic motifs and cruciform perforations. Its moldings make it particularly elegant and suitable for both classic and modern liturgical contexts. Christ’s monogram embellishes it.

Chiseling is a processing that is generally carried out on precious metals. It is the cold plastic deformation of the metal performed with the chisel and produces a relief workmanship, made with engravings and changes.
