There pyx Tassilo in silver is the reproduction of an important and precious liturgical vase early medieval, that is chalice wanted in the eighth century by Tax him III, Duke of Bavaria for the celebration of his wedding.

The uniqueness of this pyx in romantic style it is represented by the golden engravings they create figurative motifs i on a silver background and give importance to cup .

The circular base is decorated with a Latin inscription and medallions depicting the four Evangelists. L’ handle globe is richly decorated with ornamental motifs and a crown in the attachment of the cup of golden beads.

The sacred cup is embellished by the chiselling of the figures of C. risto , the Saints Peter and Paul is Holy Mary .

The cover of the pyx is entirely decorated with star-shaped flower motifs and culminates with a handle in the shape of a Celtic cross.

The essentiality of the lines and the richness of the engravings make this pyx a precious object suitable for any type of liturgical celebration.
