Piviale “Romanicus” Maranatha Lab (art. 4166)

The Piviale “Romanicus”by Maranatha Lab is a sacred vestment handcrafted in a soft fabric of pure silk.

The Cope is a liturgical vestment from ancient origins which consists of a large cloak with one rear shield, reminiscent of the ancient hood that adorned it; it is almost to the foot long, open at the front and fastened at the chest with a clasp. It is worn by presbyters on solemn occasions, especially during the Eucharistic blessing solemn.

The two edge bands of the piviale are decorated with a precious stolon embroidered with floral motifs, bunches of grapes and ears of wheat. An elegant golden hook stops the two sides of the pivial. The back shield is decorated with gold cruciform embroidery and JHS symbol.

The fit is the comfortable and wide one of the Roman cut.
