Pastoral “Fidelity” Maranatha Lab (art.29)
MaranathaLab’s pastoral ” Fidelity ” is a precious episcopal sign made of silver-finished brass.
Pastoral care (or vincastro)is, together with the pectoralcross, mitria andring,one of the episcopal insignia. It is worn by the Pope, cardinals, archbishops and bishops, but also by abbots and some prelates and canons.
The pastoral is a symbolic stick, curved and often richly decorated, used by the bishop in the most solemn pontificals and ceremonies. It symbolically represents episcopal dignity and authority.
The pastoral “Fidelity” has a satin silver finish with the stick decorated with linear grooves. The curved part is also in a satin finish and is finely turned to the tip.
The ellipsoidal globe knot is made of finely chiseled two-tone bronze with floral motifs.
