The “Merciful Jesus” pallium is a liturgical piece of furniture packaged in a mixed fabric.
The pallium (or scapolare)is entirely woven and embroidered to the frame with effigy of Merciful Jesus on the front and cruciform decoration on theback. The liturgical vestment is made of a mixed fabric of cotton, polyester and lurex.
The lurex is a particular type of laminated yarn in polyester fiber characterized by high tenacity. This fiber is metallized thanks to aluminum or silver vapors which thus give it greater brilliance and is then dyed. The term lurex refers to both the thread and the fabric obtained with this thread. It can be knitted together with other natural fibers such as cotton, silk, wool.
The pallium is a refined polychrome liturgical vestment; for finesse and sobriety the vestment is suitable for both classical and modern liturgical contexts; well suited to both ordinary and solemn celebrations.
