The Pallium “Antonio” by Maranatha Lab is a complement for priestly chasubles made of a chenille fabric.
There chenille is a knitted fabric, which is obtained by processing a thread made with two different materials: one thin and strong, the other thicker and softer. The main characteristics, in fact, are elasticity and softness. The knitting of the chenille highlights the effect velure of chenille, leaving in evidence the hair , which is instead crushed in the weaving
The pallium for chasuble is one stolon which recalls the shape of the ancient band that was passed around the neck and was worn by metropolitan bishops and the Pope . It is worn, just like a stolon, on the chasuble, resting it on the shoulders.
The Antonio pallium is made with a round neckline and is minimal and essential, completely devoid of embroidery and applications. This makes it particularly modern and contemporary in design.
