Gothic Way of the Cross Chalice (Item No. 6116)

The Gothic Via Crucis chalice is a liturgical silver vessel and is one of the most precious chalices in our collection because it is a true work of sacred art.

It is a Gothic-style chalice made of 925 sterling silver, entirely handcrafted, and its uniqueness stems from its meticulous and refined bas-relief.

This intricate artistic technique was executed by master goldsmiths on the surface of the sacred chalice and on its polylobed heptagonal base.

The decoration on the chalice depicts the 14 Stations of the Cross.

Seven stations are set on the bowl, while the other seven are set on the base; the stations are set on silver medallions that stand out against the golden sheen of the chalice.

The chalice is entirely decorated with motifs typical of the Gothic style.

The inside of the cup has a gold finish.

The chalice is a masterpiece of artistic craftsmanship and was crafted by Molina, a leading Spanish company specializing in the handcrafted production of sacred vessels made of silver and brass.

The heptagonal construction of all the elements is a prime example of the craftsmanship of the Molina master artisans

The chalice is part of the Molina Artesania Sacra collection, the Spanish parent company’s premier line of sacred jewelry
