The Cope is a liturgical vestment from ancient origins which consists of a large cloak with one rear shield, reminiscent of the ancient hood that adorned it; it is almost to the foot long, open at the front and fastened at the chest with a clasp. It is worn by presbyters on solemn occasions, especially during the Eucharistic blessing solemn.
The cope, from classic cut , is embellished with an embroidery on the shield on which is represented a stylized Greek cross made with a horizontal weave processing in shaded shades ranging from gold to red.
