Double collar for clergyman (art.1369)
The double collar for clergyman is a vestment designed for the completion of sacerdotal dresses.
There are basically two collar models. The first “Romanstyle” pops up about half an inch from the black collar and derives from theingolar dress in which a white plastic band, about 3-4 centimeters high, is inserted between neck and dress, indicating whiteness and purity. The most modern version, on the other hand, consists of a generally white plastic insert that is inserted in special cracks of the collar of the shirt, forming the characteristic white square.
The clergyman is an ecclesiastical dress consisting of black or gray or dark blue trousers, shirt and jacket, characterized by a shirt usually of the same color as the white collared dress. In the Catholic field it is used by clerics (deacons, priests and bishops) as an alternative to the chlorinate dress. It is possible to wear the clergyman already from the second year of major seminary (after promises) for diocesan seminarians or from the first profession for religious, although it is usually used after diaconal ordination.
The collar is white in color, consists of a double layer, has a height of 3.5 cm and is made of plastic.
