Chalice “Apostles” Maranatha Lab (art. 6256)
The “Apostles” glass by Maranatha Lab is a precious glass made in plateresque style.
Plateresque is an artistic style that flourished in Spain in the 15th and 16th centuries. Si tratta di uno stile architettonico molto ornato e composto a imitazione dei lavori di argenteria (in spagnolo plata), da cui proviene il nome di plateresco.
The chalice has a richly decorated surface with a fine hand engraving work. It has a smooth finish cup finished internally with a gold bath. The lower half-cup is decorated with a chisel depicting the Twelve Apostles.
Chiseling is a process generally performed on precious metals. It consists in the cold plastic deformation of the metal performed with the chisel. It produces a detecting process, made with engravings and changes.
The refined friezes frame the symbols of the four evangelists. The silver finish gives the glass a refined and elegant style that makes it suitable for canteens of any style.
The knot is embellished with the chisel of the motto “Sanctus“.
