The “Edera” chalice by Maranatha Lab is a precious silver chalice crafted im romanischen Stil.
The Romanesque chalice is characterized by the essentiality of the geometries that make it up. In fact, it consists of a round cup, a spherical globe handle and finally a trunk-conical base.
The chalice has the edge and interior of the cup with a glossy golden finish. The rest of the cup, with a silver finish, is finely chiseled by hand with motifs of acanthus leaves.
Chiseling is a processing that is generally carried out on precious metals and consists of cold plastic deformation of the metal performed with the chisel. It produces a relief workmanship, made with engravings and changes.
Naturalistic motifs also decorate the globe-shaped handle and the base.
