Romanesque pyx St. Remy in silver entirely handmade embellished with 24 natural stones set and enamelled decorations

Romanesque pyx St. Remy (art.112)

The Romanesque ciborium St. Remy is coordinated with the chalice with paten.

Real artwork, the Romanesque pyx is entirely handmade and made in two variants, a variant in solid 925 silver with a gold bath, a variant in gilded silver.

The outer cup and the circular base are hand chiseled with arched motifs and decorated with cloisonné fired enamel in watermark, while a knotted stem bears a cup in the shape of a ciborium. The preciousness of this jewel is enhanced by 24 natural gemstones set (amethysts, lapis lazuli, venturine and grenades).

Each part of the pyx is handmade, skilfully mixing the most ancient medieval goldsmith traditions with the most sophisticated modern gilding techniques to ensure the verisimilitude of the original piece of art and to attribute to it the requirements so that the jewel can increase its value over time.

There inner cup and the base are finished in high gloss.

The St. Remy chalice to which the pyx is coordinated reproduces the coronation chalice which is part of the insignia of the kingdom of France. The original copy belongs to the treasury of the Notre-Dame de Reims cathedral, is kept in the Tau Palace (episcopal palace next to the cathedral) in the Musée de l’Oeuvre de Notre-Dame and is classified as a comun historical monument French.

Masterfully crafted by the Molina company, an internationally renowned Spanish laboratory of master goldsmiths, skilled artisans of sacred goldsmiths.
