Crismon pyx in cast (art.2632)

The Crismon pyx in casting is a contemporary style pyx that belongs to the Artimetal collection of the Spanish art house Molina.

It has a lot of line minimal and harmonious and is made unique by a satin finish on the entire external surface.

The Crismon symbol is placed on the base to decorate the pyx. The Crismon symbol is the monogram of Christ, also called Chi-Rho .

It is a combination of letters from the Greek alphabet that form an abbreviation of the name of Christ.

Solar in nature, often inscribed in a circle with multiple rays reminiscent of the cosmic wheel deriving from the ancient solar emblems of Egypt, is traditionally used as Christian symbol and it is one of the main ones Christograms .

Its finish entirely in golden brass casting makes it very bright. Its sobriety makes it suitable for ordinary liturgies but also for solemn ones.

The globe of the handle is turned and instead has a glossy finish

The pyx is made by the sacred goldsmith’s company Molina , a Spanish laboratory known all over the world for the heritage of craft techniques kept by the master craftsmen who are part of it.

The pyx is coordinated with the chalice art. 6231
