Dish “Il-Vittorioso” Maranatha Lab (art.144)
Maranatha Lab’s “Il-Vittorioso” dish is a precious liturgical vase in silver entirely chiseled by hand in eighteenth-century style.
The dish has a classic style, rich in decorations and without ahandle. The cup has a smooth-finish cup in the gold bath. Externally the cup is finely chiseled by hand with eighteenth-century decorative motifs. Floral friezes alternate with finely chiseled angelic heads.
Chiseling is a process generally performed on precious metals. It consists in the cold plastic deformation of the metal performed with the chisel. It produces a relief workmanship, made with engravings and changes.
Its sober elegance, enhanced by the use of silver, makes it particularly suitable for ordinary liturgies but also for solemn liturgies in both classical and modern liturgical contexts.
